...and so it begins...

The Gatecon Team is pleased to announce our very first guest for The Invasion 2018. One of our staunchest supporters over the years Colin Cunningham is making a very welcome return back to the Gatecon Family.



Colin has attended nearly every Gatecon over the last 18 years, primarily due to his appearance as Major Davis on Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis but he has since appeared in many other fan-favourite shows including Sanctuary, Flashpoint,Falling Skies, Hell on Wheels and The Magicians.

Also returning for The Invasion 2018 are Barry Campbell and Andrew Jackson.

 

Barry is the former head of operations for the U.S. Navy's Arctic Submarine Laboratory and was also key in the filming of Continuum in the Arctic Ocean while Andrew is well-known to Stargate fans as Per'sus as well as roles in shows including Andromeda, Smallville and Dark Matter.

Joining the guest line-up for 2018 is Jill Teed who had a blast last year and can't wait to see everyone again.



Stargate fans will recognise Jill for her role as Yolanda Reese/Stacey Monroe in Wormhole X-Treme, although Jill has also appeared in many of our favourite shows including; Battlestar Galactica, Smallville, Caprica, Supernatural, Continuum and Arrow.

Joining the line-up for The Invasion is producer and director Martin Wood



Martin is perhaps best known for his work on 46 episodes of Stargate SG-1 and 30 episodes of Atlantis. He has also worked on Earth Final Conflict, Andromeda, Sanctuary and, most recently, Travelers.

Another Gatecon regular who will be making a welcome return in 2018 is Gary Jones, best known for playing Walter Harriman in Stargate Sg-1, The Ark of Truth, Continuum, Atlantis and Universe.



He will be joined by Walter Harriman, best known for playing Gary Jones outside of Stargate SG-1, The Ark of Truth, Continuum, Atlantis and Universe.

It's always great when we welcome back a returning guest to our next event. Likewise it's exciting when we welcome a new guest for the first time. Joining us at The Invasion in 2018 for his first Gatecon experience will be Rainbow Sun Francks, who played Lt Aiden Ford in Stargate Atlantis.



Meanwhile apologies for all the broken images on the forum - as you may know by now, Photobucket are holding their free account members to ransom by demanding $400 a year to provide third party hosting. Please bear with us while we change to an alternative method. The most crucial images will be replaced as time permits.

Mika was with us in 2016 so if you have a burning astrophysical question head on over to her table at The Invasion.

Sabine's Stargate novels include Trial by Fire, Survival of the Fittest and Transitions.

Rejoining the Gatecon guest line-up is Frida Betrani who played Lya of the Nox



Frida was with us for three conventions between 2002-04 so this is a way overdue and very welcome return.

Mark Haynes will be coming back for The Invasion in 2018. Mark is a co-writer of the Stargate Atlantis and Universe comics from American Mythology

Joining Gatecon for the first time is David DeLuise who played Carter's love interest Pete Shanahan in SG1



David's wide-ranging resumé includes shows such as Wizards of Waverley Place, Gray's Anatomy, Rizzoli and Isles,  Hawaii 5-0, ER, 3rd Rock from the Sun and many more.

A very warm welcome back to Gatecon for Teryl Rothery who played Dr Janet Fraiser in Stargate



Since Stargate Teryl has appeared in many TV shows and movies, including Smallville, Caprica, Arrow, Supernatural, Cedar Cove and Travelers
