My name is Janet and i am 54 from Essex and probably be one of the older ones going.  I have a ticket for the banquet but only only the reserve list for the Cruise and Tour.  Would love to do other things too but initially photo/autographs of the celebs.

There seems to be a small group of us 50 somethings that are attending and traveling alone. Maybe we can all share a table at the banquet so we don't feel so alone. l will write more later. Atlantia here. I am originally from Surrey and have a cousin who lives in Essex. I am ever so slightly older than you, but there are alot of us in this age group. I can remember my first con and traveled by myself. I thought that I would have no one to talk to. It turned out really great, thanks to a forum such as this. There will be lots of people organising meals together, chats and a whole pletherer of things. Just stay tuned, you won't be left out. I look forward to meeting you. ☺

I love everything about Stargate and Richard and all his other work and would love to meet up with other people from the UK and other countries.  I am on Facebook too. 

I am sharing a room at the Sheraton with a lovely lady from Oklahoma whom I have made friends with on Facebook and fan groups.

Anyone out there from UK too please, I live in Essex

Hi again!

I posted earlier but since I'm now planning on bringing my dog, it was suggested that I post her name and a picture of her here too. She's a basset hound and her name is 'Hela' (Norse goddess of the underworld) because she was much darker when she was born. Her face was totally black! She's 10 weeks old now and has lightened up considerably! She'll be 9 months old by convention time and lots bigger.

Well, no luck.  "The upload folder is full" (whatever that means). The pictures are only about 50kb so that shouldn't be the problem. I guess I'll try again later.

To attach the picture, you'll probably have to load it to somewhere like photobucket or flickr, then link to it with the [img] tags.  I don't think we have photo-hosting turned on here.

- In the middle of the screen should be a button that says: "Choose File." Click on that and select the file you want to upload.

- Then press the "Upload" button. Your image will upload and a new page will load... "Upload Successful" will be on the new page.

- Look for the third text box that says "Direct link." Click in that box, and the entire line will be highlighted. Right click your mouse and click "copy" on the menu.

- Come to your post you want to put on this site. Click the third button on the 2nd row (it says "Insert Image" if you hover over it).

- Paste your link in between the IMG tags that appear.

You are done!!!

HI ALL, IM FROM UK AND COMING ON MY OWN.  I THINK I MAY HAVE ALREADY MENTIONED THAT.  I AM SHARING A ROOM WITH A NIE LADY FROM THE USA. 

I WOULD LIKE TO MEET AS MANY FROM THE UK AS POSSIBLE WHO ARE GOING AND OBVIOUSLY FROM THE REST OF THE WORLD AND ALSO MY FLIGHT BACK TO UK IS NOT UNTIL ABOUT 5.30 PM ON THE 13TH.  I WOULD LIKE TO DO SOMETHING THAT DAY AND NOT JUST SIT AND WAIT FOR MY FLIGHT,  OBVIOUSLY NOT TOO FAR AS DON'T WANT TO MISS MY FLIGHT BACK.

WOULD ANYONE BE INTERESTED IN ACCOMPANYING ME AS DON'T REALLY WANT TO BE A LONER, LOL.

Hi Jel - It's a little early yet to make plans but don't worry - I'm sure a bunch of people will be in the same boat. My sister and I will be leaving on the 13th also but don't know the time yet. Hey Janet and everyone out there I'm from the UK as well, Wales actually and I am travelling on my own. Gonna be heading for gatwick on the 6th and flying  out on the 7th then flying home on the 13th. I am interested to meet and chat to others.
