So you will be assigned a row and not a seat, giving you the freedom to choose a seat within that row. Platinum ticket holders will have assigned seats as before. Your row will be assigned in the order your ticket is reserved rather than when payment has been made.

If we want to sit together (in the same row), that means our tickets will need to be ordered together, right?

If so, is there a limit on how many tickets can be purchased in one transaction? Can one person buy 4 x GOLD tickets in one transaction for themselves and 3 friends?

And with the banquet tickets, in the one transaction can the person order 4 convention tickets and 4 banquet tickets? Or do you have to purchase banquet tickets separately to the con tickets?

Sorry for all the questions. We just want to make sure the person who is purchasing on our behalf knows what they need to do.

Questions aren't a problem (usually) so don't worry about asking them 😀

Yes to be assigned the same row as friends you would need to order and pay for the tickets together - there is a cap of ten in any one order so should cover all groups' needs we hope.

Same with the banquet, one person can order and pay for everyone - just make sure you have all the banquet choices written down to fill in.

IMPORTANT:

Individual banquet tickets will now go on sale in a few weeks. This weekend is concentrating on the main convention tickets and will also make your journey through the store that much quicker.

Sorry if you have already gathered together the banquet info for your party but hold on to it as you will still need it soon.

Platinums this doesn't affect the banquet as it is included in your main ticket.

I was the 9th person to send in for Platinum, but people who waited til the last minute got them.  Not even offered gold 😖
I might as well cancel hotel reservation, since it seems rules are written in chalk......

We're finding that not everyone is looking at the forum - so we need put the information on Facebook as well to try and make sure it reaches everyone.

I wouldn't call two places for information 'many' places at all. The Facebook page is for the immediate announcements. The forum is used more as an archive and to have more detailed information on things like the activities available that would look messy as a Facebook posting and would get lost in the constant page refreshes.

The person asking about the cap (of ten per order) was asking about the Gold tier not the Platinum.

Well I wouldn't call a forum, a Facebook page and at least two Facebook groups only two places.  Facebook doesn't like to show posts in order anymore and it is almost impossible to find information if you are looking for it.

Probably best to choose one place to go to for info and stick with that then as you won't miss any critical info by just following one of our social media platforms.

My understanding was they were giving you 14 days for your payment to reach them but your tickets should not be pending once they receive your payment.  If you use PayPal they should receive the payment almost instantly so just curious why 5 hours later the tickets still say pending.  I want to make sure they got my payment and nothing got screwed up.

I have a question for someone who's knowledgeable about Transferwise. This is for a friend. Is it possible to cancel a completed Transferwise transaction for a Gatecon ticket and then start over?

Trying to buy a ticket but not having much luck. I can add the ticket but then can't continue past that. I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow and try it on a real computer (as opposed to my phone).
