Take over Chicago

Have you considered bringing gatecon to Chicago? We've had a stargate con here for years, but last year was the last one, they are pushing their supernatural and star trek cons.  there is already a established fan base here.. always big crowd.. just a thought..

The main reason we choose Vancouver is because of the local actors and crew who tend to call in and also there is a whole host of filming locations for our ever-popular locations bus tour.

Who knows, though, further down the road?

I understand why you choose Vancouver, makes perfect sense and i wish i could go.  I am just saying if you ever wanted to move the con around, you should consider Chicago. Creation Entertainment left a huge hole that i think Gatecon could easily fill.

That would be so great if you could expand your horizons.  There are so many US locations (not just Chicago) and venues to choose from.  I hope it works out.

We've considered Florida and Vegas in the past too but the restrictions were what put us off. Plus with Vancouver being the original home of Gatecon - but you never know, stranger things have happened.

Like us staging 12 events instead of just the one we were meant to do 17 years ago 😀

Oh absolutely consider outer locations.. i only mention Chicago because we have had a stargate con here for many many years and they just recently  decided to stop that con and focus on a star trek and supernatural con. They already proved you can do it in Chicago. I would think i gatecon could slide right in and take over.

Chicago is so centrally located so it was always a big Stargate turn out.  I would certainly go again.  Can't afford Vancouver on our budget with my illness.
