Are you thinking about the Creation Entertainment convention? They offer day passes. Gatecon is a company out of the UK. Creation's last Stargate convention ever is later this month in Rosemont, IL.

No, I just meant most of the conventions I have gone to, be they small independent conventions, or larger conventions like Wizardworld or Rose City Comic Con have all offered at the door day-passes. I've never seen one who didn't.

Gatecon may offer those this year.  But they haven't announced that yet.

In years past, they have done the day passes.

I, along with many other people, will be angry if the main ticket is offered onsite. We had to prepay for our main ticket via Paypal. I don't like Paypal. According to the FB announcement, main ticket sales have been shut down.

Quite honesty, what does it matter? We all could have waited to get tickets, but I opted to buy mine early due to better seating. I don't like PayPal either, but it also didn't force you to create an act when you processed it.

Frankly, I'd be more than happy to welcome another fan into our weekend. If they're paying, what does it matter? As they stated sometimes it is as a premium, but regardless still goes back into the overall benefits of the show. If there's seats open- why be greedy and lock other people out? I personally can't imagine people being upset... I see nothing to be upset about, let them come and have some fun! Why not?!

Sorry, I gotta ask, why would you be angry? No one forced you to get a ticket and pay for it in advance. Personally, I don't care if the Gatecon organizers decided to sell day tickets to the convention. We are all fans, aren't we?
