I have a friend that works at the Experience Music Project, he may be able to advertise in the Science Fiction Museum store

Will there be any other high value tickets offered similar to banquet, harbor cruise, location tour, other than the special auction and discounted admissions for sightseeing?

My apologies if this has already been asked before, and its probably a stupid question. Will there be walkways either side of the seating area, e.g  space to walk down beside all the no1 seats?

If you mean in the main auditorium - according to the seating chart, there's a walkway down the center, then walkways on either side.

Hi, I was just wondering how many tickets have sold so far, I'm trying to gauge how long lines might be for stuff and how busy it will be. My health issues make it very hard for me to stand in long lines so any info will help, thanks!!

Hi!

So I am a total dingbat with either fantastic or terrible luck, because I did not know that Gatecon had started up again until yesterday morning! I live in Seattle, but I can't take time off of work so late in the game, so I am thinking that I can drive up for Saturday and Sunday and get autographs, at least one photo, and see some of the panels.

Will the price of the ticket at the door be $275, or will it be adjusted for a daily pass, where I will need to buy two? Can I pay in American cash at the door, or will you need CAD or a credit card?

I am so crazy excited, this fandom was my first real love!

I, along with many other people, will be angry if the main ticket is offered onsite. We had to prepay for our main ticket via Paypal. I don't like Paypal. According to the FB announcement, main ticket sales have been shut down.

In the past, Gatecon has had what they call 'day passes' which are only available on the days of the convention 'at the door'.  They're not available in a pre-sale format b/c it's not practical.  But they sometimes have them available at the door for walk-ins and in the event the regular tickets have sold out.  They also don't come with any of the 'extras' available to full ticket holders.  Things like the banquet and cruise are not available to 'day pass' holders.  Only the panels and sometimes the auction.  Day pass holders also don't have access to photo or auto sessions.

If there are extra 'full' tickets available, Gatecon may decide to sell those as well 'at the door'.

The benefit to pre-ordering a ticket is better seating and first dibs on the extras.  Buying 'at the door' doesn't guarantee you any of the extras, and, in most cases, keeps you from even knowing about them.

There is no reason to be 'upset' that tickets would be available at the door on the weekend of the convention, because they would only be straight tickets with no extras included.  But they would allow other fans to join the convention if they wanted and they would help pay some of the operating costs for the convention.

From what I've read online here and at the main gatecon website, the main 4 day pass covers things like the banquet, the cruise, etc, which are all rightfully sold out at this point anyway.

I've never had the opportunity to attend Gatecon before, but most conventions offer prices for a day pass that are slightly higher than 1/4 of the four day price, meaning you pay a premium for tardiness.

I don't mean to be a bother, and I know that I'm accidentally extremely late to this party, but I could only attend two days out of the four, and my primary focuses would be to attend some of the panels and the autograph sessions.

Most conventions that are not at capacity do allow this, and I am happy to give my attendance money both to the convention to help keep it running, and autograph fees to the guests who showed up to make it a success, but if I can't do that, I simply cannot justify spending $500-$600 dollars and a 5 hour drive.  :-\
