Message from David Hewlett's agent "I have heard from David, unfortunately, he is unable to attend due to a personal, family conflict." It's uncertain at the moment whether Rachel will be with us either but will keep you posted! meanwhile we are looking at some great replacements!

This is going from bad t worse...

I'm not upset at Gatecon staff, they're doing a great job, but darn there was a reason for the ticket's price to be so high and now almost all the main guests are no longer coming...

Yep it does seem quite a high "general admission" price for us now...I am still hoping for another main cast member of SG1 along with RDA for the price of that admission ticket...but it's a risk we all take... :(


Oh well, we shall be cutting back on other stuff at the Con to make up for it....decided against paying out for the Banquet ...we can eat at home cheaper and with the price of two tickets as we come as a couple it's just too much now....we're going to use our money for Bard on the Beach tickets instead :)


Thankfully I saw RDA at London Film & Comic Con in July last year...and got a great photo op and some autos then...)

I'm sort of a "glass is half full" person.  I'm looking at it this way: Gen ad $295/44 guests = $6.70 per guest.  Where else in the world could you get to see RDA for $6.70?

Agreed!  Meeting any of these guests is an honor for me ... I am looking forward to the experience!   ;)

I came to this forum to admire the guest list again... But for how much we paid for these tickets, I am extremely disappointed with all of the cancellations and additions.
Edit: I'm still sad to hear about Amanda and Michael, but I can't bring myself to sell my tickets after being so excited for this trip. I still can't wait to see Vancouver, and it'll still be a good time!

I am disappointed with AT and MS now having other commitments and unable to attend as having the original three would have been great, but I have to disagree with so many here. I'm still quite excited for this event! The guest list is still quite amazing and there are a few attending again that I've met before during the 2008 Gatecon and they're wonderful! So friendly and they put everything they are into being there. They do their darnedest to ensure you're welcome and have a good time while you're there. I also have quite a few candid shots of the guests hanging out with fans in the lobby and bar during that Gatecon that I prize. At what other convention can you do that?

The Gatecon peeps are extraordinary too. They're working hard behind the scenes and will do so up until the very last day to make sure things run smoothly. I've been to a few other conventions before and this is one of the best organized I've been to. Plus, the "family" atmosphere here is awesome. As long as Gatecon continues to hold these events, I'll do everything I can to make sure to attend. :)

I agree. We are going to have so much fun. Seeing everyone again will be fantastic. I can't wait. I just love Vancouver too. 😆

Wow, quite a few changes guest wise since I last visited this site! Whilst I was really happy at the prospect of seeing almost all of SG-1 on stage at once there are still all the other wonderful guests who helped make this show the special thing that it is in our hearts. For me, as for everyone here it is all about being together and sharing this love for the show and I'm grateful that so many of the actors still wish to do so with us. Richard and everyone organising Gatecon really do put on a great show with a wonderful friendly atmosphere from my past experience, and this one will be no different I'm sure!  :)

I would love to see some guests from SGU as well. An announcement of Louis Ferreira would make my day!  :)
