Those masks by Mr. Sanford are amazing. I'm always impressed by people who can do things like that (since I have exactly zero artistic talent myself). I particularly like the 'Wisdom' one.

I'd be all over this IF I had the faintest smidgen of artistic talent. Which I don't. But I look forward to seeing all the entries.  :D

HI ALL, IM FROM UK AND COMING ON MY OWN. <snip>

Hi Jel - It's a little early yet to make plans but don't worry - I'm sure a bunch of people will be in the same boat. My sister and I will be leaving on the 13th also but don't know the time yet. But don't worry - people will be around and going places/doing things. Most just don't have their plans firmed up yet. I'm looking forward to seeing you there.

Good luck to everyone.

By the way, will there be any way for the authors to let others read their story (if they want to). I know I love reading Stargate stories and would enjoy reading these. Maybe after the judging?

Hey guys, do we know yet what panels are on what days yet? I'm really still wanting to come, but I'll have to shorten my trip. I want to try and get as much in as I can for the days I'll be there.

Thanks,

Tabitha.....aka Cassie

Uh, I realize this is probably a stupid question but what exactly is a 'panel'?

(In my defense, I've never really been to a convention. I brought my sons to DragonCon once but I mainly wandered around while they did their own thing.)

Goa'uld's Blood

Over ice:
1 oz vodka
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. celery salt
4 dashes worchestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste
2 dashes tabasco
1 cup of clamato juice

Garnish with pickle spear and lemon wedge.

I have to say - this sounds exactly what I think Goa'uld blood would taste like. Terrible!!

(No insult, I absolutely loathe tomato juice and clam/tomato juice sounds even worse.  ;D  Of course, if you like those flavors, I'm sure this tastes great!)

Well, I just sent mine in with two days to spare. Whew!!

Mine's set in the SG1 universe. How about everyone else?

Thanks for everyone's help. (I told you I wasn't computer savvy!) Let's see if it works now.

The first picture is of Hela sprawled out on the couch. (Tough life, huh?) The second is a close-up of her face (isn't she adorable)!

I'll add more pictures as she gets older. I hope all the dog-lovers at the convention come and say 'Hi' - she loves people.

Hi again!

I posted earlier but since I'm now planning on bringing my dog, it was suggested that I post her name and a picture of her here too. She's a basset hound and her name is 'Hela' (Norse goddess of the underworld) because she was much darker when she was born. Her face was totally black! She's 10 weeks old now and has lightened up considerably! She'll be 9 months old by convention time and lots bigger.

(Now let's see if I can attach a picture...)

(Ok, maybe this time...)

Well, no luck.  "The upload folder is full" (whatever that means). The pictures are only about 50kb so that shouldn't be the problem. I guess I'll try again later.

Absolutely no problem Barbara although we would naturally have to charge for two people and supply you with two copies of the photo

No problem with that. Heck, it seems that my dog would be free!  ;D

Btw Barbara I think it's high time we put a name to your hound...and maybe a photo too? Over in the Meet-a-Gater thread would be nice 😄

I'll see if I can figure out how to do that. (I'm not terribly computer literate.  ;D)

I'm sorry if these are silly questions but I've never been to a 'photograph session'. My sister and I are coming together and we'd just like a few pictures but what we'd really like are pictures with the two of us and the guest. Is that possible?

Also, assuming the guest doesn't mind/isn't allergic, I'd like my dog (basset hound) to be in the picture too. (I'll be holding her.) Would that be possible? (Of course, I'd check - or have you check - with the guest ahead of time.)

<snip>, and Robin Dunne has also confirmed he has new work commitments. Robin has agreed to sign some head shots for us to sell at the event plus we will still have all the items to auction that we purchased through the donation to his Rattletrap project.

Ok, now this sort of bothers me. I understand work commitments, etc. but I can't help but feel that Mr. Dunne agreed to come merely to publicize his Rattletrap project. I know I never would have contributed to it (heck, I never would have even known about it) if it hadn't been for this convention.
