The Homecoming 8th-12th September 2016 / Re: Autograph Sessions
« on: October 12, 2015, 04:34:10 PM »
This whole autograph thing has me nervous now...

After reading that your payment basically gets you 2 autographs that going to be 1 long stressful line! I'm almost in a panic just thinking about how hard and LONG that's going to take! These actors and actress don't need us giving them carpel tunnel. I'm not going to say which Con but by the time they got to my row, which was only 4 back the Con staff had made MAJOR adjustments and restraints on how our signing would go. What the actor or actress would write was also limited to just their name and you could tell they weren't having as good of a time anymore they had their famous "Con" going face on which was super disappointing!

I was so bummed to have Amanda not at SGCHI this year. However- this is amazing that she will be at The Homecoming. that way much more of the cast is together! :D

I think a lot of people were bummed about AT having to cancel coming out for SGCHI, I know I was one of those people!

But I'm super excited about the list so far, just 2 names I've not seen be added though 1 I know won't be and the other, well, I've got my wait and see hat for him.

I'm gonna volunteer for registration if possible, I wanna say hi to as many of you as possible  :) :)

Woohoo!! Registration is my favorite place to volunteer at conventions and it's usually where I end up except at a few of them. So here's to registration volunteers!!!!!!!

The Homecoming 8th-12th September 2016 / Re: Tickets
« on: October 12, 2015, 04:07:45 PM »
Just got another ticket - this one for my sister.  I called her and mentioned that I was coming to this convention and she immediately decided she wanted to come too.  (I think the magic words were 'R****** D*** A*******)  ;D

Neither of us have ever been to Vancouver so this will definitely be fun.

Brilliant! Can't wait to see everyone...
I think RDA might have been everyone's magic words haha

Yeah I told a friend about it a few days ago and then spoke to her again this weekend and I think she and her b/f are getting tickets soon. For me personally it's a tie between Tapping and RDA.

It's looking like quite a few of us haven't been able to attend an official "Gatecon" for a few reasons so this will be awesome!! I haven't either though I did FINALLY make it to SGCHI in August.

Where did you sit for SGCHI?? I was there!

Ummm, scrolls through memory, J 8 I think?! What about you?

Gatecon I'm sitting on seat C24!!! Up close, in the middle, and ready for some great pics to be taken!!

My way of getting around is 'go that way'
I may need to attach a GPS to myself so I can find my way back  ;D ;D

Hahah I'm the same way most of the time! GPS = phone  ;D

Itinerary & Activities / Re: Overview of the planned activities
« on: October 08, 2015, 11:59:39 PM »

I foresee a competition of who can drink who under the table... I will gladly raise my hand and say I'll be first out.. Still breastfeeding so not drinking right now lol! I'm gonna have to get some practice in before I come over!

This is sort of an unofficial competition every year. =)  Usually in different groups around the con.

;D ;D ;D Brilliant... Alot of fun to be had then.... Just try and keep the sambuca/jagermeister away from my mother and everyone will be safe! hahahaha

Oh dear, should we be scared?

Us wee Scottish folk are harmless!! No need to be scared  ;) ;). It'll be grand and drunken yay

Ohh I'm so excited to be among fellow drink mates! I don't know many people who can match me or out drink me! I love my drinks but I'm smart and careful about how I drink and it always works wonders.

Having this list out is amazing! This being set-up so far with lost of detail is really nice and cuts down on all the what-ifs and how questions.

I think we need some fun stuff planned for after 9pm! The last Con I went to they didn't have anything to do after like 8pm and the hotel bar closed at like 11pm. Most nights we ended up playing Fluxx or CAH (Cards Against Humanity) or another card game but it got old after a while.

Itinerary & Activities / Re: Welcome Party and The Vangroovy Banquet
« on: October 08, 2015, 11:49:49 PM »
I went to something like this, it was a dessert banquet though with some of the guests walking around and chatting but they only went to a few tables. I was way disappointed in it. So not sure I'd be open to forking out extra money for this but I'll think about it, I've got time :D

I'm fine either with or without as I've done the trip quite a few times. Though it's not always easy and quick and if you don't know the area then I could see why someone would go for the charter bus.

I would like to visit Grouse Mountain again. Do the tour buses come up to the airport hotels for pick up?
Last time I was staying downtown and got picked up outside the hotel.
thanks, Barbara Mountjoy
They only do a shuttle in the summer but you can take the bus to the base of the Mt, I've done it before a few times.

Hi Barbara!!! Welcome aboard!!!

I'm in Season 3 - and am really enjoying it.  A great show (I'm sure I'll get no argument about that.)

No argument there XD, but if you're a shipper brace yourself for season four and the following four... *goes back in her dark corner* XD

Hahahahahh I just about fell of my chair when I read this! That's great!

Uh-Oh.  What's a 'shipper'?????  Will I need to join you in the 'dark corner'????

(I actually read that first as 'stripper' - had me confused for a second.)
