Pre-con drinks, confusion about start times

Hi all!

I'm driving up from Seattle on Thursday evening, the 13th and was a little confused about whether there was an official meetup that evening. Also I'm not sure when the opening ceremonies are the next day!

I won't know a soul there, and would love to make some buddies for the weekend! Anyone want to meet for cocktails or something that night? Hotel bar? Do you locals know of a good spot? You can PM me here, or hit me up on instagram: jtl_hell

Hi,

yep we have the Meet and Greet on Thursday evening, starts at 7.30pm and some of the guests are due to be there.

Convention proper kicks off with the opening ceremony on Friday at 8.30am. But as you won't be there on Thursday in time to register you will need to pick up your pass from the registration desk between 8-8.30am on Friday. Map of the venue rooms will be published shortly.

We should also be in a position to post the itinerary details over this weekend.

People will definitely be hanging out in the lobby till all hours of the night! I’m sure more people closer to Con will post asking if others want to connect for drinks or such. If you haven’t joined the FB group Gatecon Gategoers, I’d suggest doing so.

Hello! and thanks to everyone that has replied. I guess all of my gatecon forum emails were being filtered to my spam folder and I didn't know anyone had replied! I've booked a place a few blocks away from the hotel so I'll definitely seek you all out there come Thursday.
