Itinerary not finalised but we normally have the opening ceremony at 8.30am on the Friday followed by a morning of panels.

We have a few updates for you for various areas of the convention:

Volunteers
Many thanks to everyone who has submitted a volunteer crew application form so far. Apologies for the delay getting back to you. Unfortunately Candace is unable to be with us in September so we have been busy appointing a new Volunteer Coordinator.

Sharon Drake will be looking after the volunteers this year and she will be getting in touch with you all shortly.

It's not too late to volunteer and we welcome applications via the Gatecon website.


Banquet
Tickets are still available for the Friday night banquet with after-dinner comedy entertainment from Gary Jones and Peter Kelamis while Colin Cunningham provides the music with his band WTF.

Tickets can be purchased via the My Gatecon section of the website.
Important - there are still a few people who have purchased banquet tickets but have not let us know their main course. If we do not hear from you, your default meal will be the vegetarian option. Platinums don't forget your banquet is included with your ticket but you still need to choose your main course.


Bus Tour
Tickets are still available for the filming location bus tour taking place on Monday 17th September (via My Gatecon),. If you have already purchased a ticket you will be getting your confirmation shortly. Meanwhile if you are hoping to be on the same bus as friends please drop me a line (gatecon.events@gmail.com) with your name and the person you would like to be with.

Registration
With today's world climate we are increasing our security measures at the convention. This is for everyone's safety and convenience. Therefore you will be required to present photo ID when collecting your pass/es. This can be driving licence, passport etc.

Merchandise
The cutoff date for ordering merchandise is July 10th.
Being mindful of the unnecessary wastage of natural resources there will be a very limited supply available for sale at the event.
Hoodies will only be available by pre-ordering and will not be stocked at the event.
Regarding T shirts, there will be a limited supply of M, L and XL available at the event, if you fall outside of these sizes you will need to pre-order.
To avoid disappointment please make sure your merchandise order is completed and paid for by the cutoff date.

Please don't forget that for all tickets and merchandise you need to complete checkout and payment for your purchases to be guaranteed. Any shopping carts with items in them that have not been completed will not be valid.

Photo-Ops
We will be launching pre-sales for photo ops shortly, payable by Paypal. We will give you advance notice of this along with the prices for the guests. We can only pre-sell the contracted numbers of photo ops. Anything beyond that will be available on the door, subject to time constraints. To avoid disappointment we advise you buy in advance.

Guest Appearances
At this stage the itinerary is still being put together but we do know that not all guests will be with us for all three days. Amanda, Michael and Lexa are contracted for the Sunday only and so we will be conducting their photo ops on the Sunday morning* and autographs in the afternoon. They will also appear on stage of course.


*Please note as we need to include these photo ops on the Sunday morning it will mean missing any on-stage panels when you have photos taken - we hope the people involved on these panels will have already been on-stage on the Friday or Saturday so you should not miss anyone.

Payments at the event
We will be accepting payment at the event for merchandise and photo ops by cash (US and CAD $) or by Paypal . All autographs will need to be paid in cash as that money goes straight to the guests on the day (a full list of autograph prices will be published nearer the event).

Just wondering if there will be any Photo Op pre-sale this year?

I *think* Richard said they were doing pre-sale on photo ops. I would guess this would drop next month or so once they get a better idea of who's going to be where when.
