Is anyone still looking for a room? We have a two bedroom condo right NEXT to the Sheraton.
We are 3 ladies (1x German, 2 Americans) and our 4th roommate had to cancel unfortunately.
The condo is booked from 13.09 - 17.09.
Anyone interested?

Can't wait to meet the Stargate Family again.
This time I will also spend a little more time sight seeing before the con. I have 14 days to explore Vancouver and the surrounding area.

I am always happy to meet "old" and new convention goers from all over the world and maybe some of you live closer by in the BC area and want to meet up if you would like to.

Hi ,

I am flying in from Germany for the convention and I have a double room booked with my friend from the UK.

I am looking for another female who wouldn't mind sharing the room/bed/costs at the Sheraton.

We are very friendly and accommodating and getting already a room that is close to the event rooms due to a disability.

I am also arriving probably 1 or 2 weeks earlier to do some sightseeing in Vancouver. If anyone has any information on a reasonable priced room/bed& breakfast etc I would appreciate it very much. I also welcome any one who is interested to join me.

Hi this is Annie again. Turns out my original plan for roommates has fallen through. Sadly the person I was to room with is no longer attending the convention. So I am in need of Roomies for the convention. I am open to sleeping anywhere. Bed, rollaway, floor.

Hi guys,

due to unfortunate unforseen events one of the girls who wanted to share a room with us ladies at the Sheraton hotel is unable to join us and we are now one person short.
We had planned to split the costs between us 5 girls to reduce the overall costs.
We have the room reserved from the 4th to the 13th of September.
We are looking now for an additional 5th person to share the room. Is anyone interested (mainly female due to the rest of us are too ;-)) or is still looking for a room/bed for the convention? We are 4 girls/ladies from Germany and the USA and very out going and social. We welcome anyone interested! Pls share this info if you might have also someone else in mind who could need this info.

Hi everyone!!
I am Maria and come from Germany. I've been to a couple of other Stargate cons but never to a Gatecon. I became a Stargate fan after SG1 got cancelled. But since then I am hooked. Although I watch plenty of other shows Stargate is my number one go to show to have a good time. It will always have a special place in my heart.
I've met RDA already twice in Germany at a con and he is such a funny and gracious man! Love him!
When I heard about the Homecoming I got soooooooo excited and decided on the spot that I must have a ticket at all costs! And I got lucky and I sit in place J38. I am also happy to meet again some friends, who I usually get a chance to meet at cons and I am looking forward to get to know plenty of new Stargate crazy like minded fans! Can't wait to see you all and have a great time with the actors during this time! So I hope September 2016 is approaching fast and to making new friends!!

Ok, I really like to jump on board of this crazy stargate infused train! But what does it have to do with floating bath tubs? Still... looks great! Or is this another version of a PUDDLEJUMPER?

Are you looking for a roommate? I have one bed left (5.-18.09.). I`ve already booked my flight with Condor from Frankfurt directly to Vancouver so maybe you want to go on the same - would be fun wouldn`t it?

Hi Susanne,
I live right on the North East Coast of Germany. I don't know if you have heard of Greifswald, this is the close by town, which is maybe known for its university.
I haven't quite fixed my travel plans yet due to my constantly shifting working schedule.
Thanks for the offered hotel room but I have to decline. At least this I've got covered. I will check in with a few American and Canadian women whom I've met before at other Stargate conventions. That's what I was talking about when I said meeting friends from other cons. The world can be so small regarding how a fandom can keep us all together and we all meet up wherever whenever in the world. LOVE IT!
Regarding the plane -as I said before I am not sure yet what my working plan is going to be and it makes it quite difficult for me to buy any plan tickets now, but will see in the new year. Unfortunately I probably won't be joining you on a plane from Frankfurt. When I fly to Vancouver then from Berlin probably via Heathrow or Paris. Sorry.
But don't worry there is still plenty of time to meet and chat and I think it will be great meeting you there. I try to extend my vacation time longer than the expected convention time to do some sightseeing in and around Vancouver. At the moment I hope I can spend some time in Vancouver from the 5-15.9. It's not that long, but better than nothing.
What are your plans for the time before and after the con? Any specific interests? Do you like to do as many convention stuff as possible, or just the panels/autographs/picture sessions?
So many things to talk about and to get excited about.. Let's keep in touch! Will be fun meeting you and all the other great guys!

I travel alone from Germany so I hope I will meet some new (and old) friends.

is there any chance you will sell some more tickets?

Or is there anywhere a ticket waiting list to get on? In case someone is not able to go to the con and wants to sell their ticket, is there a thread, forum, list where people like me can inquire for ticket sales? I really want to go to Gatecon.

CHANGE OF STATEMENT: GOT MY TICKET!!!!!! Yeah,  the world is wonderful again! Oh my God, still such a long time to wait until we can have this super exciting weekend with our Stargate stars! Can't wait and I am really invigorated and like to meet new people from all over the world.  The gate will bring us together!!
