Hi all!

I'm driving up from Seattle on Thursday evening, the 13th and was a little confused about whether there was an official meetup that evening. Also I'm not sure when the opening ceremonies are the next day!

I won't know a soul there, and would love to make some buddies for the weekend! Anyone want to meet for cocktails or something that night? Hotel bar? Do you locals know of a good spot? You can PM me here, or hit me up on instagram: jtl_hell

People will definitely be hanging out in the lobby till all hours of the night! I’m sure more people closer to Con will post asking if others want to connect for drinks or such. If you haven’t joined the FB group Gatecon Gategoers, I’d suggest doing so.

This is very true! But, at least you know you have the option of a coin-op kinda near the hotel.

They don’t have a self service, you have to go through room service for laundry. The other option, that I just asked my friend about is a coin-op, about 1.2 miles away called Easy Kleen Laundromat. Hope that helps Sharon!

I’m not 100% sure on this but from what I’ve read on the FB group the block of rooms (that they did already increase once) has sold out. You can always post on the forum saying you’re looking for a room as sometimes people won’t post they have room till later, or their friends plans may change.

Would there be any rooms available at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport.  When we called the reservation line they told us to ask the organizers of the convention as all they can see is the block, and can't reserve anything into them.
