The Vancouver Stargate Filming Location Tour

Our ever-popular filming location tour will take place on Monday 17th September 2018 using International Stage Lines and is an all-day activity. You will be taken to many of the locations used in Stargate and some of the other shows filmed in the city, including a pit stop outside the Bridge Studios. Packed lunch included.

Full itinerary details to follow but stops are planned at the following locations:
The Planetarium and Observatory, Vanier Park - 30 minutes
Stanley Park (lunch stop) - 40 minutes
Jack's Cabin - note we have currently been granted permission to approach the exterior of the cabin. - 45 minutes (Please note, should there be filming taking place on the day we will not be able to stop at the cabin)
Bridge Studios - 20 minutes
Bloedel Conservatory - 30 minutes
Steveston - 60 minutes

plus many more drive-by locations

As the plans didn't quite work out last time we are pleased to announce that Gary Jones hopes to join the tour for the lunch break at Stanley Park.

You may purchase a maximum of ten tickets on a single order and must provide the names of all those you are buying for. We will do our best to seat groups on the same bus. A list of the bus assignments will be released nearer the event. Buses will depart from outside the hotel.

Lunch box options as follow, with gluten-free option available for each:
Smoked turkey – sliced smoked turkey with leaf lettuce, cranberry compote on a Kaiser
Black forest ham – black forest ham with honey mustard aioli, leaf lettuce on a Kaiser
Vegetarian – grilled marinated vegetables with leaf lettuce & tomato on a Kaiser

Also included will be a piece of fruit, granola bar and bottle of water.

Cost per seat is US$70

Please note, although this is primarily a driving tour, there will be a few stops en route for bathroom breaks or where the location permits. Each bus will have a Bus Mom (or Dad) seated at the front who will be looking out for everyone - but if you do go wandering off it is your responsibility to be back on board in time as the bus will not be able to hold on for you.

The tour company has insurance that covers the time spent on the buses. Persons on the tour are responsible for their own safety when on foot at the stops en route. Neither International Stage Lines nor Gatecon can be held responsible for any injuries sustained whilst off the buses during the tour.

More detailed info will be available on the Gatecon forum under Itinerary and Activities.

FAQ's:

How long is the tour?
The tour runs for eight hours with pick up at 9am and drop-off at 5pm at the event hotel.

Can I be put on the same bus as friends and family?
Yes wherever possible we will assign you the same bus, but we must be told at the time of booking.

Can we hire a car and follow the tour?
No this is not permitted as some of the locations have limited parking - plus it's not fair on the folks who have bought a ticket.

Can I bring my own lunch?
You can, but there won't be a reduction in the ticket price.

Do we need to bring entrance fee money?
The tour is not designed for spending time inside any of the buildings, but should you decide to do so during any of the stops, any entrance fees will be at your own expense.

Will we get to see all the locations listed?
That is the plan, however traffic conditions on the day will dictate. The tour must return by 5pm so any changes to the itinerary will be at the discretion of the driver.
