I'm actually glad it's cooled down a bit in Vancouver, the sun is very intense at this time of year and it's been a hot couple of weeks. September is my favourite month in Vancouver as the intense heat of July and August tapers off a bit and you get nice sunny weather on the whole. Today is overcast but not raining and around 23C which is ideal weather for convention going and outdoor activities for me. The Labor Day holiday is the Monday before the con so if it's going to rain in September that's the weekend it will do it as it's a long weekend! So that means we should have nice weather for the con weekend, the weather will have done its ruining the weekend the week before!!!

In the 10 years I've lived in Vancouver I've found September tends to be dry on the whole with some lovely balmy late summer days. If I go out and about and there is a chance of rain a light weight waterproof jacket and a fleece or sweater in case it does cool down a bit with the rain is a good thing to have with you. I always take a fleece or sweater with me anyway because of the Antarctic temperature settings for air cons in restaurants, bars and hotels!
