While I'd love to win this, the odds are pretty low, and I'm sure the auction tickets are going to go super high.
At SGCHI 2015, the auction for being a character in the final book from the apocalypse series, by Fandemonium, went for over $1000.  I'm sure this will go much higher.

I've got a story plotted out (with the help of some great friends), but I'm seriously sick to my stomach at the thought of actually writing it.  How sad is that????

nonnie88, I kind of feel the same way about choking, but then again I want to try it.  My biggest problem of course, is not making it shippy. ;)  I may give it a whirl, and if I don't like it, I don't have to send it in!  We'll see.

I'll more than likely be coming on my own so I'm looking forward to finding out who I'll be next to... someone will look after the lost and terrified Londoner, right?

Of course!  You'll leave with more friends than you ever thought possible!  This fandom is amazing in that respect.  I didn't know anyone the first time I went to SGCHI, but after the weekend, I had loads of new friends, and was happy to see them at the next one.

Hopefully everybody here was able to secure themselves a ticket. I'm looking forward to my first Gatecon and I hope there will be more to look forward to in the future.

If they don't do one in 2017, for the 20th anniversary of SG1, I'd be crazy surprised.

We have listened to your comments and concerns and so will be issuing numbered seating. This means that if you want to sit with a particular person you must purchase your tickets at the same time.

I'm going with a bunch of friends from all over the world.  We can't all buy tickets together.  It's too late at this stage in the game, but I would happily have paid extra for seats.  Everyone's tickets are the same price, but IF you want an assigned seat, you can pay for it.  Say there are 100 rows of seats (an arbitrary number).  Rows 1-50 can be sold as assigned seats.  The front row is the most expensive, and the rows behind cost less, the further back they go.  Don't want to pay for a seat?  Fine, the last 50 rows are general seating, and you just pick where you want to sit.  I'd pay more to be closer to the stage.

Barring any unforeseen complications in the next few hours ("Anything can happen in the next half day!") the ticket info will be released at 6pm BST today. Thanks for your patience.

Since it's well past 6pm BST, and no info has been released, do you have another release time?

Will the photo ops be like they are at LFCC. Cause there are a couple I would like to get but don't wanna miss out on one if they are being taken at the same time, if that makes sense...

I hope it's better than LFCC.  That was a hot mess.  I missed the BTTF cast panel, because I was getting my photo done with RDA.

This is getting exciting. I'm kinda worried that the tickets will sell out before I can snag one, hopefully I'm worried over nothing.

I'm honestly feeling sick at the thought of this... *fingers crossed* for everyone!

We were just talking about this on Twitter!  I'm a mess.

Hi!  I don't use my real name online, because it's unique, to say the least.  Yahanna knows me though! I've never been to a Gatecon, because we were living in Europe during every single one.  My hubs is military, and we are currently stationed just south of Seattle.  I will be there come hell or high water.  My husband, 13yo son, and I are all huge SG fans (the 4yo is a fan in the making), but I'm the only one who will attend Gatecon.  I'm taking a 'momcation,' along with a bunch of my friends from Ireland, and England.  I've been to several cons (2 with RDA as a guest), including SGCHI twice, but I cannot wait for this one.
