Haha!!
If it makes you feel better I finally just got online to read that post and didn't read it properly... Fell up the stairs with the iPad in my hand, whoopsie!
Glad I didn't 'really' miss anything.
Honestly thought I was gonna have a coronary!

LOL!!! I hope you didn't get hurt or broke the IPad in the process though... Anyway, yes it makes me feel a lot better XD that means I'm not the only one over reacting about this whole thing (family is starting to think I'm going nuts), it's kinda comforting actually XD

No injuries, luckily... Not like me! But heyho! Glad I made ya feel better   ;D  ;D
And you are definitely NOT the only one cracking up ha! My Twitter feed is highly amusing ATM

I'm happy to hear that you're ok u.u
My twitter feed is kinda quite, must be because I don't have much SG fan... Actually no one is twitting about it *feels left alone*

It is a good idea, but wouldn't it be unfair to the ones who won't be staying at the Sheraton?
I mean, we should all get the same chances at taking the tickets and not have privileges/benefits because of staying at the same hotel...

Paypal seems to take awhile when sending to another person in the US. I was informed that the money wouldn't reach the purchaser until after Oct 4th. :( Will have to make other arrangements.

Question: what if (due to pay pal or whatsoever) it takes few days for the payment to be actually credited in your bank account?
Will I lose the ticket?

I have a pre-paid credit card (which uses Visa Electron circuit) that is linked to a pay pal account, theoretically *sounds like Sam Carter* there shouldn't be any problem, can someone confirm that?

Thank you in advance u.u

We are leaning towards Plan B right now...add ons come later. Otherwise poeple are going to spend so long adding things and choosing meals etc that they risk missing the ticket by the time they complete checkout.

Yeah you're right :D This way is gonna be easier for everyone  ;D

So I'll save my question about the bus tour for when the ticket will actually go on sale =)

Not like you can't do both. :D

True that... I'll have to check with my wallet though XD

Those silly wallets!  Always ruining a good time when they hide all the cash! =)

So it *doesn't* happen only to me! It makes me feel better y'know? They think they are funny but it's really not! XD

The Homecoming has activities stretching across 5 days so please bear that in mind when organising your trip. The activities on the first and fifth days are optional ones, so if you can only make the main part of the weekend you will still have plenty to see and do.

The event itinerary will be released once our full guest line-up has been finalised and their individual appearance times are known, but these are the extra activities planned for your enjoyment so far. Check out the dedicated thread for each :

  • Convention Magazine Cover Competition
  • Glyph Hunt
  • Convention Cocktail Competition
  • Art Competition
  • Absolutely Everybody Convention Video
  • Scavenger Hunt
  • Fanfic Competition
  • Stargate Costume Competition
  • Vangroovy Costume Competition
  • Vangroovy Harbour Cruise
  • The Homecoming Vangroovy Welcome Party
  • The Vangroovy Banquet
  • The Sea Shepherd Charity Auction
  • The Vangroovy Cabaret
  • The Vancouver Filming Location Tour

PC - any activity marked PC means that it takes place Pre-Convention
OE - any activity marked OE is an Optional Extra and involves the purchase of a ticket add-on
FE - any activity marked FE means Free Entry and is included in your main convention ticket

Oh please tell me that Convention Cocktail Competition is a drinking one! 😂😂 #Irish

Ahahaha Jen! Trust you... The more alcohol, the better #Scottish

I like where this is going!!! #ItalianButI'llShowWhatI'mMadeOf X°D

I went on the one they had in 2008. Was a nice time though we didn't get to get out to explore too much. I remember stopping in Stevenson, Burnaby Mountain and maybe a couple other places.

Two years later I was back for a different con and a group of us rented a car, found a map online and did our own location tour. We saw Jack's cabin, Sam's house and tons of other places that were too cool to describe.

Next year I'll be going with a first-timer and we may have to do this tour. She's never seen Vancouver nor any Stargate-related sites. She's really going to get a kick out of it. Can't wait to see her expression. :)

... I was actually thinking about going with the bus, bhut since I don't know which places they'll show us I'm a bit uncertain... I really really want to see Jack's cabin *sighs*

So @Brenda sorry to bother you, I didn't understand, will you go with the organized bus tour or you gonna rent a car? In case you rent it and do your own tour would there be the possibility for me to join you and your friend (I'm a first time too) and the gas costs etc?

Is anyone interest in doing 'our own' tour? It would be reaaaaaaly fun!

Not like you can't do both. :D
