Something close enough to be realistic but far enough to give me some chance in saving up for it.... 😀

Hi there.... I'm from the West Midlands of England.... I'll be getting there on Tuesday so if anyone wants to meet up I'll be around at the Sheraton. ..

Really looking forward to it...

Getting Around Vancouver & Beyond / Re: Accomodation

Thanks for getting back to me.  I've never been to Canada before but my friend has done 3 Gatecons, but a long time ago so obviously a lot has changed since then.

We're going to do the touristy bits and so what we were looking for is a twin bedroom, bed with breakfast preferably.  Unfortunately Sarah can't drive and I'm not allowed too so it would be good if transport was easy, although I don't doubt it would be as it's such a familiar place and a lot of things to see around the vacinity of Vancouver itself.

(I did have a smile when I mentioned the Capilano Bridge because she said... "you want to do that, you're on your own")  :D

I really like the look of the Comfort Inn though.

Sorry if this has been covered before but I can't find it.. :)

My friend and I are spending the week after the con sight seeing and I was wondering if anyone had and suggesions on hotels around the area. Bed and breakfast and obviously not too expensive preferably.

Thanks in advance...

I should probably have said travel insurance but I must update with what I found...

It's a company called * Insurance With* ... Their policy was incredible and also cheap.  Don't think I can put a web address on here so if anyone wants it send me a message on facebook under Samantha Chambers or email me.

Thanks for the replies guys...

Hi guys

Like a lot of people I've been hunting around for the best deals around and wondered if this could help anyone else...

Cheap flights - company called Canadian Affair

and insurance

Avanti Insurance

(A smile for you is that the person I was chatting to about the insurance with asked me if the Castiel in my email was from Supernatural and it seems that he's a massive fan of all that and SG.. small world)

One thing I'm renowned for is taking bucket loads of pics... A few years ago when I went around the world in 7 weeks I took around 4000  :D :D :D

*SamC, ironically my last name starts with a C so when I saw it I had to look twice thinking I'd put that instead of just Sam.. can't wait to meet everyone*

Apologies if this isn't in the right catagory but I'm looking for holiday insurance and wondered who other people were using or would recommend.  I have some health issues so that is a consideration on the one I choose.

Thanks in advance
