I'm Highlander II (H2 for short... no, really, I'll answer to any of these). I've been to most of the Gatecons - I've missed 4, 1 I didn't know about, 1 I didn't know about until about a month before it happened and the 2 in the UK. I've been to all the rest and volunteered at all but the 1st one. I even wrote up a 'what it's like to volunteer at Gatecon' post last year: http://www.gatecon.com/forum/index.php?topic=77.msg3662#msg3662

I play Ingress b/c it's awesome - and maybe this time I won't get a freakin' cold and I'll be able to go to Minoru Park and do a mission or two over there. =) (If you want an invite to the game, let me know and I'll send you one. XD)

I also spend a lot of time here on the forum answering questions when Richard's asleep. =)

Hi, I'm WraithWarrior (or Carl) and I live in the UK.

This will (hopefully) be my first GateCon and my first time visiting Canada so looking forward to the trip!

As it's my first GateCon, I'm not really sure of how everything works or the prices of tickets, etc. so any information would be appreciated :)

Marcia and Bill Schulz hope to return for this one.  Not a first-timer, but still excited about participating in the festivities.  Richard and Fryn never cease to amaze me with the events they can arrange, and the multitude of guests they can gather together.  Allan dazzles with his ingenious sets and props.  We will need to keep alert for announcements pertaining to ticket sales, dates and pricing.  I continue to follow on facebook.

More details about the con will crop up as we move along. Pricing hasn't yet been announced, but keep your eyes peeled!

The lure of Gatecon will no doubt make me come. Can't miss anything to do with Stargate that turns up on my doorstep! Just watch SGU's 'Cloverdale' and you'll see where I live, well, just around the corner from that street!

I love meeting all the lovely people who come and share the great moments Gatecon give us, being an ex-pat Brit it's always great to catch up with those who come from the UK. This will be my fourth time attending, and the wonderful Stargate family atmosphere is always worth making the bus journey. I tend to avoid driving in Vancouver traffic if I can avoid it, if I'm on holiday I don't want a reminder of my commute lol! However, I will make an exception to fill up my car with fellow fans and drive people to various Stargate locations if they want that experience, I love going to the favourite locations fellow Stargate fans love and want to see.  :)

Hi, I'm Vicki! I'm Australian but currently live in Seattle.
We are newcomers to the world of Gatecon but are looking at attending our first ever convention next year!  Do many kids attend Gatecon? Our daughter will be nearly 16 in Sept 2018.
Thanks!

Hi Vicki welcome to the forum.
We do normally have quite a few children at the conventions - there's always a good age range with us.

Hope to see you next September.

You better be coming pal! 😃 I have to wait another month but I am hoping to get a multiple room booking. Diana, Jill and I are teaming up to room together. If i get 2 queen or king beds there will be room for one more if you are interested? That's if you can put up with my snoring!  😪😪😪

Once again, the line-up of guests looks fantastic. I can't wait to see you again. I am hoping to get out to the conservatory this time, and I wouldn't mind going back to Granville Island (not to play with the seals though 😉) and Gas Town.  Lots to think about. 🤓

Hi everyone! I'm still Jen, 34, in Seattle! I had such a blast at Gatecon last year and I cannot wait for next year! It's going to be so much fun and I can't wait to see everyone again. The guest list is looking fantastic!

Hello everyone, I'm Glenn from Los Angeles....this will be my first Gatecon & trip to Canada!

I attended the "supposed last" Stargate convention in Chicago & had blast even though I went solo. This time around, I'd really like to chat with fellow fans & make some new friends. So, how does Gatecon compare to the Chicago convention? Anybody know if there will be a bus tour again this year?

Safe travels fellow Gaters!  :D
