Very good idea.

It will really depend on the uptake for the cruise. If we get say 400 sign up for it we would need the whole desk to get them registered before or after the cruise.

Will know more later on.

Do you think we will really have 400 attendees for the cruise?

A lot of it will depend on the overall price of the cruise, but anything is possible!

I'm guessing that if you have put your name down to 'do' registration then there isn't much point in going on the cruise? Hmmm.... Decisions, decisions!

No - if you sign up to do registration, 2 things - 1) registration happens every day, so you could be scheduled for a different day; 2) you may not be slotted to work registration if there isn't space and may get a different assignment.

Go ahead and sign-up for the cruise if you want to go on it (and buy your ticket when they go on sale) - Volunteer positions won't interfere with add-ons like that.  Closer to the actual convention, when Candace starts working out the volunteer shifts, she'll take the 'extras' into consideration.

Plan for all the things you want to do.  =)

Not yet.  They haven't announced it, that was a general 'when it becomes available, go ahead and sign up', as in 'don't plan your other activities around your potential volunteer assignment'.

And then I am guessing we just let the person in charge of organising the volunteers know that we are attending certain add ons?
Seems obvious now I have typed it, but what the hell LMAO!

You don't even have to do that...I'll be giving Candace a complete list of all the volunteers nearer the time and it will have marked on there who has booked on to what extras.

Aren't we kind? 😎

When I signed up as a volunteer, I mentioned that I was a Registered Nurse.  I just want to point out that, as a trained professional, I am fully qualified to provide mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to any guests that might require...resuscitating.   ;) ;D

I love the comedy that happens here! You should do like a 10min set change performance  ;) Or a short comedy show too would be sufficient  ;D
