I am disappointed with AT and MS now having other commitments and unable to attend as having the original three would have been great, but I have to disagree with so many here. I'm still quite excited for this event! The guest list is still quite amazing and there are a few attending again that I've met before during the 2008 Gatecon and they're wonderful! So friendly and they put everything they are into being there. They do their darnedest to ensure you're welcome and have a good time while you're there. I also have quite a few candid shots of the guests hanging out with fans in the lobby and bar during that Gatecon that I prize. At what other convention can you do that?

The Gatecon peeps are extraordinary too. They're working hard behind the scenes and will do so up until the very last day to make sure things run smoothly. I've been to a few other conventions before and this is one of the best organized I've been to. Plus, the "family" atmosphere here is awesome. As long as Gatecon continues to hold these events, I'll do everything I can to make sure to attend. :)

I agree. We are going to have so much fun. Seeing everyone again will be fantastic. I can't wait. I just love Vancouver too. 😆

Though I've never been to Gatecon (so the 'seeing everyone again' part doesn't apply  :)), I totally agree with the above post. I've never been to Vancouver and it's giving my sister and me a chance for some nice 'sister' time. And I really like the 'family' atmosphere. I brought my sons to DragonCon twice when they were younger. It was well-run and my sons had a grand time but it was definitely very 'commercial'.

I'd love to see JR Bourne, Claudia Black, Ben Browder, Beau Bridges, Morena Baccarin...  Maybe even Chris Judge?!  :o

Yay! I saw him several years ago in Vancouver at the "other convention" and in 2015 at Shore Leave.

As you know, there are more than 40 guests joining Richard Dean Anderson at our Homecoming event in September for a weekend of entertainment and special activities. One of the principal reasons for this gathering is to help raise funds for Sea Shepherd, the ocean conservation group founded by Capt. Paul Watson and also supported by Richard.

Paul Brown of Legends Memorabilia, our partner for the Homecoming event, is a member of the Sea Shepherd Advisory Board, along with Richard and several other celebrities. Today we have received a communication from Paul which we know will add even more excitement to this event and we would like to share this with you.

"In 2010 we held an event in Vancouver called 'Meet the Man'. This event was headlined by Richard Dean Anderson and he was joined by Capt. Watson and several other Sea Shepherd members. During that weekend, we raised a remarkable $100,000 for Sea Shepherd, thanks primarily to the generosity of the fans who attended the show. We have extended an invitation for Capt. Watson to join us at the Homecoming event and I am delighted to tell you that he has conditionally accepted our invitation and has responded by saying "I will do everything possible to be there. I miss seeing you and Rick and participating in these events "  However, his appearance with us is conditional upon him receiving the return of his passport which would allow him to travel freely once again. We shall await the outcome of this process with optimism.

In another exciting development, we have also extended an invitation to Ms Pamela Anderson to join us at the Homecoming event. As many of you will know, Pamela is an outspoken advocate of animal rights and we were delighted to see her recently become a member of the Sea Shepherd Board of Directors. In response to our invitation, Pamela has responded that although her plans are conditional upon other commitments in September, she"will try to make it work."

We are looking forward to seeing positive developments in the weeks ahead that will allow both Capt. Watson, along with his wife Yana, and Pamela Anderson join Richard and his other guests at the Homecoming event, and will also give the fans an opportunity to meet and listen to these inspirational and legendary champions of conservation."

We are sure you will agree that having Paul, Yana and Pamela at The Homecoming will be fantastic additions to the guest line-up, will raise the profile of the event and awareness for the charity. Watch this space!

How about Jason Momoa, Jason Schombing, Kavan Smith, Rainbow Francks, Connor Trinneer, Craig Veroni, Ryan Robbins, Peter Flemming, Agam Darshi, Christian Bocher, Aleks Paunovic, William Devry, Frida Betrani, Kevin Durand. Just to name a few. I've met all of them except Agam and I think any one of them would be a great addition to substitute for the cancellations. IMDB.com is a great place to refresh your memory as to who's been on the show and who you'd like to meet. Kim

OK, I thought that Fulvio Cecere was on the list at one point but he's not anymore, so, I just messaged him and he said he hadn't been asked yet. I think he'd love to come, so please add him to the list! He's been a busy guy, he's been on Izombie and he's in the new show Damien, and The Flash, Continuum, just about everything that films in Vancouver or Toronto. He's an amazing guy with great stories and he's lots of fun onstage. Who else would love to see him? I know all my friends that are coming would love to see him again. So, pppllleeeaaassseee! Kim

When a guest is no longer able to attend we make a point of adding a new guest in their place. We will also be releasing an official statement about the guests shortly.

I'm definitely bummed about Teryl not being able to make it, but I have confidence the con will be great anyway

The Homecoming team is delighted to announce that we will be bringing the lovely Suanne Braun over from the UK in September to join the awesome guest line-up. This brings the current System Lord count to an incredible seven - Anubis, Apophis, Ba'al, Camulus, Hathor, Her'ur and Nirrti - our very own summit!!

One question - who owns Hathor's wig at the moment?

Also joining us for the first time is actor Peter Kelamis who played Brent Langham and Coyle Boron in SG-1 as well as Adam Brody in Universe.

We have been informed this week by the agent for Teryl Rothery and Jay Acovone that neither will be able to attend in September, and Robin Dunne has also confirmed he has new work commitments. Robin has agreed to sign some head shots for us to sell at the event plus we will still have all the items to auction that we purchased through the donation to his Rattletrap project.

Meanwhile, back at the convention, don't forget to grab your ticket for the banquet before the 29th February to be in with a chance of winning a seat at the Top Table with Richard Dean Anderson.
