Hello, I'm Jamie, coming from UT along with my hubby and sister! Hubby and I are frequent con-goers, but this will be our first Stargate Con. Considering he proposed to me the first time he saw my Stargate collection, I think it's safe to say Stargate is a bit of a big deal in our home and we're really excited for Gatecon!!

Nope! You got me there! Where is UT? 😊btw Welcome! 😆

This will be my first time at Gatecon as well. I did go to some Trek cons in the 1990s (when I was in college), but it's been many, many years since I've been to anything like this.

Coming up from Texas - this will be my first time in Canada. Should be cool.

I just found the website about the con this morning - so, I was happy to still be able to get a ticket.

I watched all three Stargate series when they were on tv - but I've recently been buying the new packs of Sg1 episodes on DVD and rewatching them. Up to season 8 right now. Man, I miss that show. I loved catching it every week when it was on.

Hi Barbara!!! Welcome aboard!!!

I'm in Season 3 - and am really enjoying it.  A great show (I'm sure I'll get no argument about that.)

No argument there XD, but if you're a shipper brace yourself for season four and the following four... *goes back in her dark corner* XD

Uh-Oh.  What's a 'shipper'?????  Will I need to join you in the 'dark corner'????

(I actually read that first as 'stripper' - had me confused for a second.)

Hi, I am originally from England, and when I lived there I DREAMT of going to a Stargate Con in Vancouver and hoped one day I could go.  Then I moved to Ontario , and although I was closer, I still couldn't afford the flight and accommodation etc, then I found there was a convention in Chicago, which is not that far from where I live, so I have been to the Chicago conventions for the last few years.

I am thrilled that I am now in a position to be able to afford a trip to Vancouver and go to this Convention.

Hello - I'm Debbie from Ohio.   This will be my first Gatecon, and it will be the farthest I've traveled yet for a convention!  The best thing about cons is being surrounded by people who share the same interest and get the jokes, so I'm eager to spend a weekend with all of you!

That is pretty cool. I've always had to skip them in the past for the same reasons, since I am way down here in Texas. But, I'm giving up my annual Philadelphia hockey trip I make in order to go to this instead :)

So, I know how ya feel.

It's looking like quite a few of us haven't been able to attend an official "Gatecon" for a few reasons so this will be awesome!! I haven't either though I did FINALLY make it to SGCHI in August.
