Gategoers at The Homecoming / Getting to Vancouver

(Not sure if this is the right place for this topic, but didn't know where else to put it. Please move to correct spot if applicable, admins.)

I was wondering, how are people getting to Vancouver and when?
I am planning on crossing Canada by train (flying into the East, then take The Canadian from Toronto to Jasper and the Rocky Mountaineer from Banff to Vancouver.
I'd leave Toronto around Aug 22nd, and arrive in Vancouver around Sept 1.

Anyone interested in joining me/meeting up somewhere if my schedule allows it? (I'm still booking, so no definite plans yet)

For Candace Marbach: I signed up (Tessa Carati), but have since then acquired a resuscitation certificate (CPR and AED), which will still be valid during the duration of Gatecon. Could you add that to my skills? In case it is needed. Thanks.

Just wanted to say... you've done an amazing job with all the info that is already up and the plans and deals that have already been made. Can't believe I have to wait a whole year!

(Hmm... the theme is 1969... the time-travel ep... think I could try my luck and jump through the stargate to end up in Sept 2016?)

Hi,

My name is Tessa. In the fandom I'm known as Tessa (Mac). I'm a Dutchie (that is: from the Netherlands (aka Holland). No, we don't speak German (well I do, a little) and no, it is not the capital of Denmark). My first Gatecon was in 2001. I'm glad I made it, even if I had to fly 3 days later than planned. Amazing con. My last one was in 2008, where I got to walk around with the official shouldercam. Hopefully I'll be able to join the techcrew again next year! It will be great seeing all of you (again)!

What are the rules again concerning flash photography? First 5 minutes only, after that no flash or no photos at all after that? Something completely different?

My friend was wondering what the program looked like. I know it's way too early for specifics, but generally speaking, would the program be like the last cons?

If so, could someone please remind me what that was again? It's been 7 years... I'm a bit hazy on the details...

Thursday: registration + meet&greet?
Friday: registration + panels + dealersroom + banquet?
Saturday: registration + panels + photshoots + dealersoom?
Sunday: registration + panels in the morning (and an afterparty for volunteers?)
