Convention Cocktail Competition - PC / FE
Create the perfect Convention Cocktail and give it a suitable Stargate, Vangroovy or Sea Shepherd name
Get your drinking caps on to come up with the perfect Homecoming ConCocktion!
We are inviting ticket holders to dream up a cocktail recipe that is out of this world. The name of your cocktail will be just as important as the drink itself. You may choose to base it on an alien or a planet from the Stargate universes, or you could go with the 1969 theme running through the convention. Perhaps a Sea Shepherd twist? The choice is yours.
* Your entry can be either alcoholic or non-alcoholic
* The organisers will pick their favourite three recipes ahead of the convention
* The top three will be put to the ultimate taste test in an all-star taste-off at the Meet & Greet party
* The winning recipe will then be made available to buy at the hotel bars during the event weekend and the winner crowned Grand ConCocktion Champion!
* The competition is only open to holders of Homecoming tickets
* Organisers and judges decision is final, assuming we can still stand
* The competition is for fun only. There is no monetary prize involved
* Closing date for entries is 31st July 2016
Other things to remember:
* Entries should indicate if it is served straight up, on the rocks, stirred, shaken….whatever the method chosen to create/serve the drink.
* Imagination is a good thing – decorate as their heart desires
* A creative name makes the drink stand out in a crowd
To enter the competition just post your recipe here on this thread. You MUST include your Homecoming Ticket/Seat Number.
You may choose your ingredients from the following list only, and the one solid rule is that a drink can be a MAXIMUM of 2 OUNCES (60 mls) of combined alcohol (one ounce = 30 mls).
NOTE: this list is best viewed on computer/Mac as ipad tends to constrict the list and some ingredients get split over two rows.

Nell:
This sounds fun! Do we enter our cocktail recipes on this thread?
Richard:
It was going to be mail them into us, but I actually like the idea of posting them here and getting feedback from other Gaters before we make a decision on them.
Will post the definitive answer soon but definitely start thinking of your recipe!!

Definitely a good idea. That way we can make there at home and test them out. :D
