A list of places you may wish to include on your visit to Vangroovy.
Entry prices are not being included here as they may change by next September, so check the websites for the latest admission costs.

Many thanks to Sovereign for uploading a tourism brochure for me to refer to for this section.

Granville Island

This "island" under the Granville Street Bridge boasts a brewery, public market and maritime museum, plus dozens of artisans, specialty food retailers and a kids market.

Stay past sundown - but not on a convention night - for dinner and a show at one of Granville Island's many restaurants and theatres.

Museum of Vancouver

Events, exhibitions and education make this museum so much more than just a great place to check out everything 'Vancouver'.

With recent and ancient artifacts, the city comes vividly to life. Permanent collections include Ancient Vancouver, Made in Vancouver, Hippie Vancouver and Neon Vancouver displays.

Stanley Park

Spanning 400 hectares (1,000 acres) in downtown Vancouver, this city park is home to a variety of wildlife and tree species including hemlock, fir and cedar. Hit one of the many forest trails or stroll around the spectacular, 22-kilometre seawall.

For a real treat, Stanley Park Horse-Drawn Tours (awaiting response to discount request) offer friendly, professionally narrated tours of the park aboard beautiful, old-fashioned horse-drawn vehicles.

Grouse Mountain
(awaiting response for discount request)

Ride the mile-long Skyride, witness jaw-dropping views from the Eye of the Wind turbine, check out grizzly bears and grey wolves at the refuge for endangered wildlife, or take a guided eco-walk to learn about Grouse's geological history.

Top it off with a decadent meal on the mountain's peak.

Mountain Ziplines

Our dual-line, five-line circuit gives you an adrenaline-pumping tour across the peaks and canyons of Grouse and Dam Mountains. The tour lasts about two hours and can be booked as an individual or as a group.

What the Tour Includes

The zipline experience will give you a unique perspective of Grouse Mountain, combining heart-pounding thrills with an exploration of BC’s old-growth forests. Along the way our fun and friendly guides will look after your safety, and share stories with you that will leave a lasting impression. And then you’ll strap yourself in and...zoom. Make sure to enjoy every second of this jaw-dropping scenery. Because it goes by fast. Crazy, awesome fast.

Summer Shuttle from Downtown

We (Grouse Mountain, not Gatecon) are pleased to offer a free shuttle from downtown Vancouver with the purchase of a Peak Experience ticket throughout the summer. Pickup/drop-off point is Canada Place.

Our complimentary shuttle service is available from late May through September.

Public Transit
The public transit system offers regular service to and from the base of Grouse Mountain every half hour. Catch Bus 232 - Phibbs Exchange or Bus 236 - Lonsdale Quay

We always charter our fishing from one of the places on Granville Island.  Plenty to see and do on the Island before and after a day of fishing.

I wasn't allowed to post external links, so I may use the Vancouver Hop on Hop off Trolley to get to different places, and I may take a tour with Landsea Tours. I've used both in the past when visiting Vancouver. I'll probably have to extend my stay.
