Also, the reserved tables were off limits to us, but some of the guests that attended came around and said hello. 😀 we had a great conversation with Colin Cunningham. 😊

I can deal with that... :)!
Hopefully some of them do come and say hello!
Although I'll probably stay silent and stare haha  ;D ;D

Haha...that could be me so I have to drink a little or a lot???   ;D ;D

Seating position has been assigned to you when you bought the ticket...

For the banquet?? Confused!

I thought they were using it for the banquet as well, maybe I'm the one who got confused

Oh dear!
Not a good sign lol!
I think the banquet is gonna be like a 'free for all' in the seating department... Definitely better than assigned seating where you might end up at a table where you don't know anyone...
Again I say 'anything that makes it easier on the con organisers' is a bonus  ;) ;) ;)

The convention ticket doesn't include entry to the banquet so no it (the seat assignment) wouldn't be used for banquet seating

We are thrilled to announce that Colin Cunningham has agreed to provide the after-dinner entertainment following the optional banquet on the Friday evening.

Colin will be performing on stage, on saxophone, along with his five-piece soul funk band What The Funk!
Most of their music will be from the 60's and 70's, so the perfect opportunity to wear your Vangroovy 1960's outfit!

Fancy dress is not compulsory, but you do need to have a ticket to the banquet in order to enjoy Colin's gig.

Full details on the banquet including price will be announced shortly.

Will there be a maximum capacity for how many tickets will be sold?

Great news about Colin and his band performing, oh I so hope I get a banquet ticket!!! He's such a talented guy! He was on the local CTV news last week in a spot they do at the end of the news where they feature ordinary people doing what they like doing. He was playing his sax in a park and told the story of how he started out on arriving in Vancouver by living in his car and playing on the streets, he was awesome. He said one thing led to another and he's always grateful for all the breaks and how he got to where he is today. A wonderful example of another working guy in Vancouver. I met him a few years back and he's a nice down to Earth guy and his magic tricks are amazing, it was a joy to see the spoon and coin bending trick up close, still none the wiser how it's done!  :)

Paul Brown is now in the UK and currently making his way up to our neck of the woods, in time for lunch today!!
There then follows much talking, discussions, planning, wine-drinking over the next 48 hours. Hopefully the end result will be us in a position to launch all the extra add-ons etc.
