Hey guys, do we know yet what panels are on what days yet? I'm really still wanting to come, but I'll have to shorten my trip. I want to try and get as much in as I can for the days I'll be there.

Thanks,

Tabitha.....aka Cassie

Most of the panels are on Friday and Saturday, with a few Sunday morning/early afternoon.  (Going by previous Gatecon incarnations.)  The team hasn't decided which panels will be which days yet.  And likely won't until just before the convention begins b/c the guest list is fluid, even up to the day the convention begins.  (This is a work smart, not hard approach - they know when panels, in general, will be, but not who is on which panel when until just before the convention, otherwise they'll have to redo 100 times.)

Registration is open all 4 days of the convention, so don't fret if you miss the 'big' registration day on Thursday.

Uh, I realize this is probably a stupid question but what exactly is a 'panel'?

(In my defense, I've never really been to a convention. I brought my sons to DragonCon once but I mainly wandered around while they did their own thing.)

Panels are the same as when an actor/actors will be onstage. Probably won't know schedules until a few weeks before the convention. Besides stage appearances, there's autographs and photo ops schedules to figure out.

*I've also attended a convention where the schedule was changed both on first day and during the convention...so be prepared.

I'm interested in seeing what (if any) combinations of guests will be in panels, such as all the System Lords.  (The "Kneel Before Your Gods" panel?)

Unlike alot of other cons I've been to, Gatecon usually puts a few guests on stage together because they have so many guests, more than most cons do. The mix is always great, they've done all kinds of panels like, the system lords, the women, father/son, writers/producers/directors, crew, main cast, so you never know who they'll put together. Plus the guests would crash each other's panels, which was always fun too. Unfortunately this time alot of the "Regulars" aren't coming but I know it'll still be fun and crazy and we'll laugh our butts off as always.
