Hello everyone! Planning on attending and may be bringing a first-timer. She goes to all the local fandom cons around where she lives so not sure if she's ever been to a strictly Stargate convention before. Will be fun to experience it all anew from her eyes. Can't wait for the festivities to begin! Was planning on doing some side trips after the convention up to Capilano Bridge and maybe whale watching once again. Anyone interested in going together? http://www.capbridge.com/http://vancouverwhalewatch.com/whale_watching.html

Sorry...extremely new here.... How does the seating work? I understand there's only one ticket price, so am I going to be up all night in line to get a good seat or how does it work? Thanks.
It will be my first time to Vancouver, so I would love to see what I can, ESPECIALLY Whale watching as that's what I'm studying in school!

If you've got the time, check out Stanley Park (I should probably take my own advice as it has been decades since I have been out that way) and you should be able to find the Olympic torch (not lit) at Coal Harbour. I've never seen it for myself as I rarely get downtown and I certainly didn't dare brave the mob of the Olympic crowd.

There will be plenty of close seating. Most people line up maybe an hour before the doors open.
