I agree that Michael and Amanda cancelling was sad. I would have loved to see Amanda as well. She was out of the country directing and Michael was in the middle of filming Saving Hope. When he came to Chicago it was just for the one day and he had to rush to catch his flight back to Toranto that night. He made sure he signed autographs for everyone who had a ticket though. Amanda also had to cancel her Chicago appearance as well.  That's why I'm hoping for Jack, Daniel, Sam, and Teal'c to spend the weekend with us. Having Cam and Vala would be sweet too.

Well, with Saving Hope coming to an end hopefully Michael will be able to attend the Invasion. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I saw him in Chicago, but I would love to see him again.

Hey Everyone, I too wish to thank everyone who volunteered and helped organize this wonderful event. I too would have understood if Rick had backed out due to his injuries. The event was awesome and I enjoyed my short time there. I didn't get the opportunity to meet Rick this time, but spending Saturday night watching him at the auction was priceless. He was Rick at his goofiest even if he wasn't feeling his best because of his arm. We love you Rick, because you're the best.

I can't wait for next year,

Hey everyone, I'll be coming from Northwest Florida where it's been hot, hot, hot, except for the occasional hurricane that is. It would figure that the Tropics decide to act up as I'm getting ready for Vancouver (where 60's sound great to me) this weekend and Chicago two weeks from now. No offense to anyone, but I can't wait to also meet Michael in Chicago. I only wish he and Amanda could have made it to Vancouver too. Although, Amanda had to back out of Chicago as well.   

But I agree with everyone. It has been a very hot summer.

Hello all, I'm very excited that the time has finally arrived. My question is since I'm attending both Gatecon and going to Chicago to meet Michael Shanks two weeks later I had to cut my Vancouver trip short. I won't arrive until Saturday afternoon. Will I have a problem collecting my registration packet and my Sunday Mediatation class ticket?

Hey guys, I have a question. I know autographs will take place on Sunday, but do we know around what time they will start? I only ask because I have a 2:30 p.m. whale watch tour, but I'd still like to get an autograph from RDA if possible. Thanks, Tabitha

I'm finishing up the final touches on my story and will be sending it in shortly. Mine is also set in the SG-1 universe. :-) I want to wish everyone luck. This has been a blast to write and has re-energized my desire to write more Stargate stories. :-)

I have a question. I entered the writing contest and have a gatecon ticket, but I won't be able to attend. After putting all the work I did in the story, am I still allowed to submit it for judging? Or does my non attendance knock me out?
